A sitemap is a file (usually XML) that lists all the pages, posts, and media on a website and provides metadata about each URL (last modified date, priority, change frequency). Sitemaps help search engine crawlers discover and index your content efficiently. All websites should have a sitemap.xml file submitted to Google Search Console. Next.js can generate sitemaps automatically.
