Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search engine results pages, on a scale of 1–100. It is based primarily on the quality and quantity of backlinks pointing to the domain. A higher DA generally correlates with better organic search rankings although Google does not use DA directly — it is a third-party proxy metric for site authority.
