Meta Description Guide

A 150–160 character summary that appears in search engine results under the page title.

A meta description is an HTML attribute that provides a concise summary of a web page's content. It appears in search engine results pages (SERPs) beneath the page title and URL. While meta descriptions are not a direct ranking factor for Google, they significantly influence click-through rates (CTR) — a well-written meta description can increase organic traffic without improving rankings.
